Technology connects us!
Microsoft Office 365 is a software suite of digital tools (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel) that students will use engage with their teachers and learning resources. Canvas is an intuitive learning management system (lms) used by schools throughout the world. iSC has adopted Canvas has its shared lms and all iSCA courses are housed in Canvas. iSCA students, parents, and educators use their school-issued email addresses to log into their assigned courses. All iSCA stakeholders are trained to know how to navigate and use Canvas so as to get the most out their learning!
Zoom is the video conferencing tool used to connect iSCA students, parents, and educators. All synchronous class sessions, activities, and conferences will take place through Zoom.
Our school uses PowerSchool as its Student Management System, which is where student and parent information as well as grades are stored.

Advanced Placement® (AP) courses are based on national curricula and prepare high school students to take the College Board® AP exams in May. AP courses are designed to provide an additional challenge for students wishing to learn more about a specific subject area; in addition, these classes are taught at the level and expectations of a first-year university course. More information about the official AP program can be found on the College Board website. Students wishing to enroll in AP courses need a recommendation from his/her principal (or designee).
iSCA offers two different options for AP courses. Synchronous Courses meet weekly based on regions and require weekly synchronous connections. Semi-Synchronous Courses follow an adaptive pacing schedule, offer quarterly synchronous opportunities based on region, and encourage engagement at least once a week.
